This compilation of essays discusses the state of UK-Russia relations. Some of the key points made are that significant value and cultural differences exist between London and Moscow that hinder cooperation and understanding. The fatal poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko in London has aggravated these difficulties. Economic ties in energy and technology are growing yet the political relationship lacks mutual confidence. The authors argue a lack of expertise and resources devoted to improving state-to-state relations illustrate the low priority either side attributes to the other.
