This publication examines Russian relations with India and Pakistan during and after the Cold War with particular reference to economic and military trade relations. The author argues that Russo-Indian cooperation continues to be important as both states have a strong interest in opposing Islamic terrorism. His conclusion suggests that Russia's support for Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf reflects Moscow's desire to prevent a militant Islamic regime coming to power in Pakistan.
