This paper reviews disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) processes and outcomes in Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa. It is divided into four parts. The first three parts evaluate each country on an individual case basis. The concluding section draws policy recommendations and food for thought for enhancing DDR initiatives.
