This paper discusses corruption in South Africa's national police organization, the South African Police Service (SAPS). It outlines anti-corruption measures undertaken by the SAPS, and briefly introduces the Corruption and Fraud Prevention Plan and the closely linked Risk Management Strategy. It grounds the discussion within the broader international literature on police corruption.
