This paper discusses challenges to the effective implementation of anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) measures in Africa. It maintains that Africa has unique structural and capacity problems that distinguish it from other regions of the world. The conclusion suggests recommendations to enhance the continent’s capacity in implementing AML/CFT measures.
