This paper sheds light on how each of South Africa's six major metropolitan police departments manages corruption (or ‘integrity management’ as it is sometimes dubbed). It provides background on corruption among metro police generally and reviews relevant survey data. It further profiles each of the departments and their approaches to corruption management. Finally it sums up and compares various approaches to controlling corruption and offers suggestions for improvement.
