This issue of the Russian Analytical Digest examines Russian gas strategy. Specifically, it considers the importance of the northern areas in the realization of the country's energy strategy and discusses energy cooperation with Japan and South Korea. Additionally, this issue presents a statistical overview of Russia's natural gas industry and a map of gas pipeline network.
