This issue of the Central European Journal of International and Security Studies (CEJISS) discusses, among others issues: EU counterterrorism policy within the context of EU enlargement, military conscription in post-Cold war Europe, the utility of private military firms in peacebuilding operations, European identity formation, and the effectiveness of EU development aid to Palestine in curbing the rise of Hamas.
