This publication analyzes how the political and security dynamics surrounding South Sudan’s civil war underscore the shifting fault lines in the Horn of Africa. The text’s author also examines the impact the region’s various conflicts have on US interests as well as Washington’s current strategy in the Red Sea region, before providing policy recommendations on how the US could promote conflict resolution and regional stability.
