Since June 5, 2017, a number of Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain, have been enforcing a diplomatic and economic boycott of Qatar. However, this paper outlines how Qatar, like many other countries that have faced economic sanctions before it, is taking great efforts to ensure and show that the sanctions imposed against it are unlikely to cause significant damage to its economy.
