This paper focuses on the growing business ties between Jordan and Israel and the political problems they’re causing for Annam. The text’s author specifically looks at 1) the September 2016 energy deal signed by the Jordanian government and a business consortium which includes three Israeli companies; 2) why the deal is critically important to Jordan, despite the negative reaction it has stirred within Jordanian society and some political parties; and 3) an additional agreement on a desalination facility in Jordan which will include investments from Israeli companies.
