This report looks at the multiple roles Afghan women play in supporting, countering or preventing violent extremism. The text’s authors specifically argue that although Afghan women have long been presented as either disempowered victims or deviant anomalies, they’re actually involved in a wide range of activities, ranging from peacebuilding to perpetrating violent extremism.
