In this report, Marco Käser, Linda Maduz, Tim Prior and Florian Roth use survey data to investigate the drivers of information seeking and hazard preparedness behaviour in Switzerland, with a focus placed on public preparedness towards pandemics. Among other findings, the results show that people in Switzerland appear to be seeking more information about risks and demonstrate higher levels of risk perception than before. However, this does not necessarily correlate with an increase in knowledge about potential preparations or actual preparation to address possible hazards.
