This book provides an account of international relations regarding the Middle East. More specifically, the text´s authors 1) use Regional Security Complex Theory (RSCT) to define and delimit the region; 2) examine how regionalism and globalism feature in Middle Eastern integration processes; 3) explore regional bids for hegemony; 4) address the approaches of major powers -- including the US, Russia, China the EU and the UN -- towards the region; and more.
