This paper discusses the attempts by the Belgian region of Wallonia to veto the proposed Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada. In particular, the authors 1) work to dispel the concerns and objections of the Walloon government and other opponents of CETA, and 2) discuss the wider context and future of EU free trade agreements (FTAs).
