Publication

This paper first examines the work of classic naval theorists Captain Alfred Thayer Mahan (1840–1914) and Sir Julian Corbett (1854–1922) and contemplates whether their ideas on sea power could be applied to outer space. The text’s authors then examine the elements which are essential for the projection of power in the space domain. Finally, they speculate on what impact the militarization of space could have on great power competitions in the future.
