Organizations and Resources Network

The Institute for National Strategic Studies (INSS) 1) conducts strategy and security-centered analyses for the US Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the American military's Unified Combatant Commands; 2) it supports the multiple academic programs conducted at the US's National Defense University; and 3) it provides outreach services to other US government agencies and broader national security communities. The military and civilian analysts and staff who make up the INSS support these goals by first performing various types of research and then sharing their results via publications, conferences, and policy-centered outreach activities.
