Dr. Amos Dossi is a Senior Researcher at the CSS Think Tank where he leads the policy consultancy cluster Military Doctrine and Armaments Acquisition. The focus of his academic and applied research is on military technology innovation and defence-industrial strategy.

Prior to joining CSS, Amos Dossi worked for RUAG, an international defence contractor owned by the Swiss government. Before that, he was a researcher at the strategic studies chair of the Swiss Military Academy at ETH Zurich. Parallel to his undergraduate degree, he participated in the preparation and implementation of the Munich Security Conferences (MSC) of 2014, 2015, and 2016.

Amos Dossi holds a Ph.D. in International Affairs and Political Economy from the University of St. Gallen, a M.Sc. in History of Science and Technology from the University of Oxford, and a B.A. in Political Science and Modern History from the University of Zurich. His doctoral dissertation, supervised by Prof. James W. Davis, Ph.D., investigates the working mechanisms and technological success factors of large-scale/cooperative and small-scale/unilateral strategies to armaments acquisition.
