In this blog, Inbal Ben-Ezer and CSS’ Owen Frazer reflect on key strategic and operational questions raised by the COVID-19 pandemic regarding the moving of mediation training online. Three insights identified by the authors include that 1) online training is not better or worse than in-person training, with each having its own strengths and weaknesses; 2) developing quality online training requires intentional design for the online environment; and 3) any decision to develop online training courses should be made as part of a long-term strategic decision rather than a short-term improvisation.
