CSS' Stephen Herzog spoke to Radio Free Asia about his recent research which used a novel survey experiment to assess U.S., Japanese, and South Korean public opinion regarding potential nuclear retaliation if the stand-off with North Korea escalates. Herzog and his co-authors found high support for conventional retaliation, but very low public support for using nuclear weapons in all three surveyed countries (in Korean).
