Recently, U.S. state government websites have been targeted by hackers who seek to undermine confidence in the upcoming midterm elections. The Russian-aligned hacktivist group Killnet could possibly stand behind those DDoS attacks. CSS' Stefan Soesanto says to NBC News that the group has started becoming more effective at knocking sites offline and therefore ought to be taken seriously to some degree.
