In contrast to the EU, the Federal Council does not block the Russian state channel RT, although it spreads propaganda and disinformation about the war in Ukraine. CSS' Julian Kamasa tells SRF Tagesschau that Switzerland's decision prevents totalitarian states from accusing it of censorship. At the same time, however, he fears this position could become unsustainable in the case of further escalation.
