This paper examines the impact of environmental degradation on Bangladesh. Due to its geographic location and a confluence of various physiological and morphological characteristics, Bangladesh is subject to environmental degradation at the national, regional, and global level. The author examines the main areas of environmental concern and their impact on the country's social, political and economic structures. The paper also investigates whether the environment's degradation and its social impact is likely to provoke conflict within Bangladesh or between Bangladesh and its neighbors.
