This article analyzes the likely trends and limitations of Sino-Russian energy cooperation. Moscow and Beijing are interested in mutual cooperation on oil and gas. This interest in cooperation is based on common interests for which neither side would have to give anything up. At the same time, a number of restrictions on the development of cooperation exist.
