Central multilateral agreements on disarmament and non-proliferation policy have come under massive pressure in recent years. However, the dangers posed by nuclear, biological and chemical weapons are considerable and should not be forgotten by international politics, even in view of the coronavirus pandemic. Germany, together with its partners, should prepare for further efforts to preserve and strengthen these regimes.
