Tunisia's Jihadi Problem and How to Deal with It

To this day, Tunisia remains the only country in the MENA region that has made a transition to democracy following the popular uprisings of 2010–11. Yet the transition has proven difficult as the country is currently struggling to address jihadist radicalization and terrorism. In response, this article identifies structural factors driving radicalization in Tunisia as well as what different measures the fledgling democracy should adopt to address this challenge more effectively.
