This report examines the strategic and operational adjustments that selected NATO allies have made since 2014 with regard to Russia. In order to do so, it analyzes the respective political, technological and alliance-strategic contexts and it looks at the land forces of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Poland and Germany. Although parallels and recurring patterns can be identified, the analysis shows that the political and historical context is a comparatively strong driving force for the development of armed forces, as is the respective threat and conflict picture.
