This issue of Canadian Military Journal (CMJ) provides an account of events surrounding a Taliban attack in Afghanistan and draws attention to the number of special operations forces leaving to join private security companies. The history and challenges facing the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty is discussed and the capability development process of Canadian Forces (CF) since World War II. The military history section covers the Vimy Memorial and friendly fire accidents during World War I before privacy and intelligence responsibilities are highlighted and the problems associated with force expansion. The publication also addresses the issue of Canadian sovereignty of its Arctic territory.
