This brief discusses the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) acquisition of F-15SG combat aircraft and outlines key concerns in the further development of the air force's combat capabilities. The author examines three issues in detail: the ever-increasing costs of new air combat systems; the changing strategic environment and its ramifications for air combat; and the increasing availability of technologically reliable unmanned technologies.
