This report summarizes a conference on pandemic preparedness in Asia. The participants - medical experts and security analysts - examine various pandemic preparedness models, identify gaps in planning and determine pandemic preparedness indicators. Further featured are discussions on the roles of different societal actors in the formulation of operational pandemic preparedness frameworks and on the prospects of regional cooperation.
