This issue charts the growth of NATO and Canada's declining influence within it, discusses the rationale for establishing a Canadian foreign intelligence service and asks whether asymmetric warfare remains a useful concept. Further, it examines the ways that war has changed for the infanteer, the decision to extend the lifespan of the CF-18 Hornet and analyzes different conflict resolution strategies. It also looks at methods to develop effective leadership at all levels within the Canadian Forces (CF) and the need for a Standing Contingency Task Force (SCTF). It analyzes Canadian command during the Boer War, re-examines Canadian generalship at the defense of Québec in 1759 and finally assesses ways to improve physical fitness levels within the CF.
