This study examines the challenges to the livelihoods of small indigenous communities scattered in the Central Cardamoms Protected Forest (CCPF) in Cambodia. It looks at the various impacts of governmental policy as well as social, cultural and ideological issues that have newly arisen. The author discusses how the government's natural resource management policies and other actors such as NGOs, migrants and investors affect the livelihoods of the indigenous people.
