This paper examines the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE treaty) and Euro-Atlantic security in general. It lays out the background of the CFE Treaty and how it has contributed to European stability. The author discusses three possible options to get out of the deadlock the Treaty has been in since Russia's suspension of participation in December 2007.
