This case study summarizes the results of a Media Tenor analysis of the media coverage of 16 German Bundesländer between July 2004 and June 2005. Amongst the 10 criteria considered in the study are the image of the states in education-related issues, culture-related issues and general economic conditions. The study concludes that out of all the Bundesländer, Bavaria has been able to position itself in the media most successfully.
