This research report analyzes the media image of the US in international TV news programs from 2005 to 2007. The authors identify a constant decline of the US media image and state that the George W Bush administration received few opportunities to explain its point of view. One year before the first primaries in the presidential elections, the media shifted their focus away from President Bush to presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
