This research report presents the results of a 2005 to 2007 study on issue-reporting in various German media outlets and identifies a shift in the public agenda towards environmental issues. However, the Green Party has not been able to profit from the increased attention in this area. Meanwhile, the Federal Government and the coalition members, the Social Democrats and the Christian Democrats, came out strongly on communication of climate-related issues.
