This research report examines the role of parliaments in foreign and domestic coverage of politics on German, British, US and Arab television news. The comparison shows that in no country has television news dedicated more than 4 percent of their reporting about political protagonists to the work of parliaments. The report attributes the growing discontent with politics, evident from low turn-out in elections, to this disappearance of parliaments from the news.
