This brief analyzes the Indian Budget for 2009-10 and identifies opportunities for foreign investment. The author recommends steps that the Singaporean government can take, in cooperation with Singaporean companies, to encourage investment in India. The author focuses on joint infrastructural projects in particular and argues that given budgetary priorities, Singaporean expertise in urban infrastructure should be leveraged in the Indian market.
