This paper argues that in recent years, the concept of resilience has gained traction. Its application has expanded significantly from physical and technical systems to the organizational, social, and economic spheres. The authors argue that, in an environment where ensuring security is becoming increasingly more difficult, the concept of resilience offers guiding principles and a modern framework that can be used to manage this environment and as a tool to strengthen emergency preparedness efforts.
