This paper discusses US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's three-day visit to Pakistan in October 2009 at a time when terrorism perpetrated by the Taliban-Al-Qaida forces was wreaking havoc in the country. This paper examines the nature of the trust deficit between the US and Pakistan and its implications for the fight against terrorism.
