This paper presents a series of personal, organizational and campaign histories of contemporary Iraq based on interviews. It aims to improve and expand US understanding of Iraq and its region in providing national security organizations with historical background material, political and personality profiles of the region, and data for long-term studies and analysis. Furthermore, it illuminates the effects and utility of US capabilities as seen by an adversary for doctrine and force developers.
