This issue of the Canadian Military Journal (CMJ) opens with a look at the new learning technologies that are enebler of modern Distributed Learning, especially Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) and with the consideration of Canadian perspective on Maritime domestic security because seaways and ports are vulnerable to terrorist attacks. Next, it examines the impact of United States Northern Command (NorthCom) on Canadian national security policy and explores the strategic operational management of the Canadian Forces in the Persian Gulf War. Further, it contrasts two general but highly influential approaches (analytical and intuitive) to understanding decision making and enquires the effect of Knowledge Management among Canadian Forces. It also examines the place of depleted uranium (DU), because of its ballistic properties, in the inventories of a number of modern armies and considers Military culture in Canadian Army in 21st century.
