This issue of the Journal on Ethnopolitics and Minority Issues in Europe provides an overview and analysis of the interethnic arrangements that were struck to end hostilities in Macedonia in 2001, otherwise known as the Ohrid Agreement. Contributors discuss the motives of the signatories and the external actors, the link between the Agreement and previous attempts to ensure peace in Macedonia as well as the considerable difficulties that have been faced in implementing the deal so far.
