This CTTA issue looks at community-based efforts to rehabilitate extremists in Australia, China and Nigeria. In addition to contemplating the effectiveness of local Australian programs, which aren’t necessarily trusted by the country’s Muslim population, the articles explore China’s most recent rehabilitation model, particularly in the wake of the country’s recently passed counterterrorism legislation, and Nigeria’s past and current experiences in trying to pacify the country’s militants.
