In this Policy Brief, the authors try to outline the elements of a comprehensive economic policy initiative at the EU level capable of matching fiscal discipline with higher growth, as well as restoring a climate of cooperation between the Member States. Written to President of the European Council, Mr Van Rompuy, the authors hope that he will consider bringing their proposals to the attention of the European Council.
