In this paper, the author argues that the EU is facing serious internal and external challenges in tackling the revolutions in the Maghreb. Internally coherent and cohesive action is needed; while externally the biggest problem could be to (re)gain credibility and trust because of the long period of good relations with the former autocratic regimes and leaders.
