After reviewing the essential role of Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the Mediterranean and the key elements of the Euro-Mediterranean regional cooperation, this paper proposes a blueprint for a new framework for MSME development in the context of the ongoing Euro-Mediterranean cooperation, with a clear focus on the role of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) to reinforce this regional cooperation.
