In this report the authors address the growing concerns about the potential for serious violent conflict in the Ferghana Valley that has been brewing for some 20 years. The violence in the south of Kyrgyzstan in June 2010 again demonstrated that these fears are not unfounded and raised the spectre of even more serious bloodshed in the near future.
