India's largest integrated infrastructure project, the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), is currently under implementation. This paper discusses the main features of the project and argues that while the economic benefits from the DMIC are enormous, care should be taken to ensure that its progress does not get affected by problems of land acquisition, multiple agency coordination and slow project implementation.
