This compendium outlines the history of US-Cuban relations since the 1960s. The US Cuba policy, consisting of economic sanctions in large parts, is described and commented in a chronological way. The policy fields discussed include migration, diplomatic relations and the Guantanamo Naval Base. Finally, the authors discuss the policies of the George W Bush administration and offer recommendations for the normalization of the relations between Cuba and the US.
